What is a Bad Beat Jackpot? For example, you have a very strong and infrequent hand, but you still lose to an even stronger and more infrequent hand. This happens rarely and is a good reason for winning a Bad Beat Jackpot! And the main pot of this jackpot goes to the player, who lost the hand.

Bad Beat Jackpot prize pool is formed at special tables with different stakes and which are marked with a Jackpot special symbol. Since these tables are extremely popular, the prize pool increases very rapidly. And even after the Jackpot is hit, the prize pool has an impressive amount, which provokes to fight in a new battle!

Terms to draw the Bad Beat Jackpot

  1. Pokerdom has separate Bad Beat Jackpot types for the Hold'em tables (Bad Beat Jackpot Hold'em) and Omaha tables (Bad Beat Jackpot Omaha) and 5 Card Omaha (Bad Beat Jackpot 5 Card).
  2. Hold'em Bad Beat is a situation, in which your hand starting from the Four of a Kind Eights loses to a stronger hand.
  3. Omaha Bad Beat is a situation, in which your hand starting from the Four of a Kind Aces loses to a stronger hand.
  4. Five-Card Omaha Bad Beat is when your Straight Flush hand loses to a stronger hand.
  5. If two or more players' hands meet the jackpot criteria, then the two highest hands are considered.
  6. Three or more players must take part in the deal, the winning and the losing player must use both their cards and reach the final showdown.

Jackpot distribution

  1. 30% goes to the lost hand.
  2. 20% goes to the win hand.
  3. 10% are distributed among other players who participated in the hand.
  4. 10% are equally distributed amongst all active players at all Bad Beat Jackpot tables of the relevant poker variety.
  5. 20% is allocated as a starting prize pool for the new bad beat jackpot.
  6. 10% is charged as a commission fee.

Example:

The jackpot prize pool has reached 1,000,000 rubles and you are playing at a table with blinds of 25/50 rubles. If the jackpot is played at your table, 50% of the prize pool will be distributed - 500,000 rubles (according to the table rule above). According to the formula: 

  1. 30% of 500,000 RUB (150,000 RUB) go to the lost hand. 
  2. 20% of 500,000 RUB (100,000 RUB) go to the hand winner. 
  3. 10% of 500,000 RUB (50,000 RUB) go to other players, who participated in the deal.
  4. 10% of 500,000 RUB (50,000 RUB) are distributed among all active players at all Bad Beat Jackpot tables of this poker variation. 
  5. 20% of 500,000 RUB (100,000 RUB) are added to the total prize pool of jackpot for new draws. 
  6. 10% of 500,000 RUB (50,000 RUB) are charged as a fee.

Therefore, if the jackpot is hit at a table with blinds of 250/500 rubles and above, 90% of the prize pool will be distributed.

At the bad beat jackpot tables the Run it three times feature is available (second/third board deal). Please note that the bad beat jackpot is played on the first board.

 Additional terms

  1. Both pocket cards must be used in order to make the main part of the hand. For example, if you have collected a Four of a Kind Aces and King Kicker (ААААК), but your pocket cards are A and K, while the three other Aces are from the board, then this hand does not qualify for the jackpot. In this specific example, you must have two Aces of your pocket cards.
  2. Bad Beat tables in the lobby are highlighted with a special symbol. At Bad Beat tables, 0.5% of additional rake is charged from each deal, which generates a cumulative part of the Bad Beat Jackpot prize pool.
  3. Bad Beat Jackpot tables are available only in No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha High and Pot-limit 5-card Omaha High.
  4. To claim the Jackpot, the user's account must be verified.
  5. Active players who are not present at the table at which the Bad Beat Jackpot is played, may only receive one prize (as per Jackpot allocation rules), regardless of the number of tables at which they play. Off-table (sit-out) players do not receive a prize.
  6. Promotion terms may be amended or supplemented at any time.
